Steps to Write a Book!

Book Writing Tip of the Week:

Create a System
The process of checking your background for ideas should be continuous. As you write your book, you will find yourself continuing the process of organizing and re-organizing your ideas. Take your list of ideas and add any nuggets you located while reviewing your background, speeches and articles.

Research experts say over 150 hours a year is wasted looking for misplaced paper.

As you progress, new ideas will come to you. It’s o.k. to jot your ideas down on a piece of paper until you have a chance to file it. But for some of us, our desk can quickly become a hodge-podge of stickys and scraps of paper. Now is the time to create your a system that you will use throughout writing your book. Judy Cullins puts it like this, “Stop Piling and Start Filing.”

Research experts say over 150 hours a year is wasted looking for misplaced paper. Organization is key because the Pareto Time Management says that only 10% of our papers are actually important.

I have heard it said that the first ingredient of success - the earliest spark in the dreaming youth - is this: dream a great dream."
