Book Writing Tip of the Week: Finish Faster & Finish Strong I know everyone is different. So what works for me may be different than what works for you. But here’s an idea I and many others have used successfully over and over again. Create a Chapter Template After you have outlined or structured your book with the repeating elements in each chapter, create a template which will form the basis of each chapter. For longer books, you should create a separate template file named after each chapter. i.e. “03 chapter passion points.” For shorter books, I just create separate pages for each chapter. After creating the template file or page, go through and insert placeholder text for each element of the chapter. For example, the chapter template for one of my books looked like this: Chapter Number
